Just wanted to add the last book I've read... superb!

This story was inspiring and I cried all the way through it... tears of JOY of course. I have included a picture of the photo included in the book. This is what the little boy says Jesus really looked like to him and the little girl who painted the drawing.

My Zappos.com experience

So, my big sister emails me a zappos.com gift certificate for my birthday this year and it took me like 2weeks to decide on what I should purchase. Immediately I started scanning the website for some BCBG heels, Jessica Simpson wedge sandals and Sky high Steve Madden pumps. However, I found the cutest pair of bcbg heels on ebay.com. The retail price was over $100 but I got them dirt cheap! Yay for me! Check them out below. I love black and white! This style is also known as the Spectator Pump :)

They are somewhat similar to my tan and beige Baby Phat heels I bought last summer. I love the cat symbol. It makes me think of my cat, Meow :) That's my other sister's foot at the top. lol

Well, after purchasing the super cheap bcbg heels on ebay.com I remembered that I totally needed a new white bag. A Hermes Berkin is like my dream bag but of course I can't afford one like that so I checked the brand ALDO on zappos.com and low and behold I found a similar make! Yay! Here are some photo's of  an original Birkins bag below worn by Posh Spice

Below is a photo of the two I purchased off of zappos.com :) I got mines super cheap. It was actually the last one on the website but they may still have a few in the Aldo stores in the mall. I wish I could have one in every color. I love how sophisticated and chic this bag is. The starting price is over $7,000.00 for an original.

Wikipedia-The Birkin bag is a handmade purse by Hermès and named after actress and singer Jane Birkin. The bag is a symbol of wealth due to its high price and elusiveness to the public.[1] Its prices range from $9,000 to $150,000. Costs escalate according to the type of materials. The bags are distributed to Hermès boutiques on unpredictable schedules and in limited quantities, creating scarcity and, intended or unintended, exclusivity

Though the storms in my life keep on raging...

In this particular picture Jesus walks on water and saves Peter from drowning.
It just goes to show you that God can and will do the impossible for you!

I'm sitting here beside my sis thinking of what I should say on my blog today. She is currently grading papers and my cousin, Ashton just left to head back home to the city. Today was fun. He kept me laughing about everything. The rest of my family is watching some Angelina Jolie movie (Salt, I think?) that I didn't feel like watching so, I took the extra time to read a scripture out of Job that we covered this morning. The message was encouraging. It really motivated me to work harder on killing my flesh.  I'm striving for a closer walk with Jesus and he is putting my faith to the test. Having blind faith can be the most difficult thing if you're not focused on God. It's so easy to focus on your problem or storm instead of Jesus. They say Instead of looking at your problem you should look at God! Everyday there is a test that I have to pass. Our test are to make us stronger and bring us closer to him. I'm learning more and more to praise him during my storm and remain positive. Negativity is not faith. I was told that God uses trouble to bring us around and make us think and focus better. I seem to get my best prayers through when I'm in trouble. Am I the only one who's prayers seem to get more extreme when problems arise? There is definitely a blessing in every lesson.

My main goal is to become more humble and less focus on the things of this world. The life we live should be as worship unto God. I've included 2 of my favorite scriptures. I hope that it will be beneficial to you as it is to me.
When a man's ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him. Proverbs 16:7
And we know that all things work together for good to them that Love the Lord and are called according to his purpose. Be grateful :)

My Favorite Sonnet by Shakespeare.

SONNET 116

Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O no! it is an ever-fixed mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wandering bark,
Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.
Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle's compass come:
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.

PARAPHRASE (Translation)
Let me not declare any reasons why two
True-minded people should not be married. Love is not love
Which changes when it finds a change in circumstances,
Or bends from its firm stand even when a lover is unfaithful:
Oh no! it is a lighthouse
That sees storms but it never shaken;
Love is the guiding north star to every lost ship,
Whose value cannot be calculated, although its altitude can be measured.
Love is not at the mercy of Time, though physical beauty
Comes within the compass of his sickle.
Love does not alter with hours and weeks,
But, rather, it endures until the last day of life
If I am proved wrong about these thoughts on love
Then I recant all that I have written, and no man has ever [truly] loved

Read Through the Bible in a Year! I just thought I would share :)

I loved Rick Warren's book so much I went on line to find more books that were written by him. One of my sisters from church asked if I could suggest a good book for her to read and The Purpose Driven Life was the first thing that came to my mind. Click the link below if you would like to dedicate this year to reading the entire Bible. I'm actually ashamed to admit that I read soo many books from cover to cover but have not completely read the Bible from start to finish. So many people confess that the Bible is their favorite book but yet they have never read it entirely.  Join me in reading. It actually starts at the beginning of the year (Jan 1st) but I've read all of Genesis so I can still start now and so can you :)

Today's Inspiration

Starting to realize that sometimes you have to suffer before you get your blessing. Sometimes, it seems like I am constantly going through something... suffering. My only comfort is in the fact that I know that the Lord is with me. Currently, I'm listening to Apostle Bonner preach out of Job (A delayed Answer To Your Prayer) and he was saying that if God is with you then that is more than enough. This particular message is exactly what I needed to hear. Oh, what an encouragement that all things work together for the good for those who love the Lord! I am determined not to faint or give up. The Lord knows how much I can take. I realize that he is taking me through these trials to make me better. I'm trying with everything I have in me to cross every T and dot every I but the more I try it seems like it gets harder and people around me demand even more. But, I'm coming out like PURE Gold! I'm going to push a little harder and keep praising his name through my storm. I'm going to shine everywhere for Jesus! I accept the fact that Jesus is teaching me and getting me ready for something bigger. I'm humbling myself before him. I am at his mercy. I realize I can't do any of this alone.I praise God for calling me and choosing me. I trust God to answer my prayers at his own time. He has a divine purpose for everything and I'm going to wait it out. I've learned that you can make a mess out of things by trying to go ahead of God. It is such a relief to just fully trust God and wait on him to deliver  me his way! I'm beginning to see things from a different set of eyes. Now, it's almost time to go to church and I'm so excited about going tonight. I am encouraged and I have pleasure in knowing that Jesus is going to meet me there. Bishop Bonner can PREACH! He says some blessings and answeres are purposely delayed because there are certain things he must work out in us before we get it. And you have to let God get some things worked in and fixed first with you and your life. No need to murmer and complain.  Wait on the Lord! I'm Loving it! Let God be God!
