Batman Part 6 Cindy's Version

Esperanda sat by the window contemplating on how she would kill him. Once he was dead the city would be hers to control. For five years he had been ruining her plans. He needed to suffer. A crashing noise interrupted her thoughts. It would seem that her sleeping concoction had worn off. She loaded her pistol and slid it into the top of her boots. They could have been partners but he would never agree to her terms and she enjoyed playing by her own rules. Only one of them could walk out of this building alone. Her plan had worked just as she knew it would.  She walked into the dim room where she held him captive. He was no longer tied to the chair. She knew he wouldn't be. Batman was .... different but, he wouldn't hurt a female, would he? She took a step into the room and gasp as his hands rounded her neck. "Take one step and I'll snap your neck." His tone was low and menacing. She wasn't sure how he had managed to get out of the device she had worked so hard on but it didn't matter. So, Batman wasn't such a good guy after all. He would kill her if he had to, she thought to herself. She didn't respond as she jabbed her elbow into his side. She hated him. Batman twisted her arm behind her back as he faced her. "I could kill you right now, Esparanda. Let's make this easy. I'm taking you to St. Christine's Ward and you will stay there. If you try to escape you will be at the mercy of the guards. I suggest you stay there and get the help that you need." She wouldn't resist him this time. She was no match for his physical strength but she would break out of the psychiatric ward and she would come for him again. He was all muscle and no brains. If he had brains, he would have killed her when he had the chance...

Aretha Franklin - Bridge Over Troubled Water

I have this CD called, Body & Soul Gospel that I like to listen to in my car. Well, last night on our way to church, my Mom turns to my Dad in my car and said, "Cindy, listen to old people music." I never really thought about it like "old people" stuff. I just listen to good music where women are really singing and are talented. Aretha Franklin kills this song and the piano at the very beginning is superb! I love how soulful it sounds and so what if others don't understand my music taste. It's a free country! In the words of Truth- "I got the right to bump that base if I like" :)

And yes I like this song too... Lol!

Go YaYa! Kudos To America's Next Top Model Contestant- YaYa Decosta

YaYa was on Ugly Betty! I was soo proud of YaYa for not letting Tyra Banks cut off all her hair like she did those other girls. I couldn't understand why she forced those girls to chop of all their hair when she wore a wig every show? Things that make you go, huh/hmmmm?? Well, YaYa threw a fit and remained true to herself. Good for her! Now, out of all of the ANTM winners and participants she is the most successful. She has been on Ugly Betty (that's my show :), Take The Lead, Law and Order, Special Victims Unit and some movie/play with Danny Glover. Power to the people! She is beautiful! Go afro, Girl! Go! Lol!

For some reason this picture of her from a movie reminds me of my mom in a photo from back in the day!

Batman Part 5 Cindy's Version

He spotted them early. They were dressed in all black and skullies. He was going up against some of the most clever crooks in the city. Somehow they had manage to break into the small bank along the edge of the city, without setting off any alarms. A civilian nearby had called in when she notice two gentlemen standing suspiciously around the building. This wouldn't be difficult at all. He waited until he saw the shorter of the two signal for their exit. "Going somewhere?" he asked, startling the man. It was always the same with thieves. They either ran or they tried in vain to kill him. It wasn't that he couldn't be killed but it wouldn't happen tonight. They were smart enough to break into a bank silently but they weren't fighters. He could tell by the look in their eyes that they were afraid and their body language showed panic. He pleaded with them sternly, "Drop the money bag."  The two men glanced at each other and then up at a window at the top of the building. He saw a figure standing and peering down on them below. He hadn't notice anyone before. So, they weren't alone but it didn't matter. He would take out the big one first and then run down the short one. He wouldn't kill them. He never did. He just roughed them up just enough so that escaping the cops wouldn't be an option. He took a step forward just as a bullet pierced through the night air. The shorter of the two men dropped to the ground before him.  He hollered in pain and dropped the duffel bag at his feet. There was nothing he could do. Obviously this guy was used as bait. Whoever shot him was not after the money but they wanted him. His companion darted his eyes from the window and then back at Batman. Confusion and regret filled his eyes. "She paid us. I didn't want to. I needed the money." Batman turned his back to the crook. "Get out of here!" he yelled over his shoulders as he ran towards the opening of the building. He smelled her perfume before he saw her. She wore black patent leather boots and a fitted black dress. Her hair fell down her shoulders as she made her way down the stairs. The smell of vanilla filled the air. It was a mixture of lavender and a familiar strange smell... by the time he recalled the scent it was too late. He inhaled the gas and felt his limbs go limp. He heard the sound of her piercing laugh as he fell to the ground. He watched her bow shaped lips form into a twisted smile. She taunted him, "Ha! Batman, you came?" He listen to the click of her heels hitting the cement as she came closer, holding a needle in her right hand. "This won't hurt you. I promise... but then again, promises were meant to be broken." He felt the sharp pain run through his neck. Her laughter rang through the night as he went unconscious.

To be continued...
